Tis the season to celebrate pure unconditional love. The kind of love that never wanes or diminishes. The love that just IS and that continues to grow and expand only because we have that love inside of us to give. That's the thing with love, there's no finite capacity for it - the more you give the more you have to give. As we celebrate the holiday season we're blessed to be given the time, sanctioned by our community, to come together with our loved ones so we can celebrate the love we have for each other. Spending time with our loved ones during the holidays allows us to fuel up with the love we need so we can embark upon another new year filled with optimism, hope and enthusiasm. This month’s wisdom reminds us to appreciate what we have and to love what we have. It’s the time of year to appreciate everything you’ve experienced this year as well as everyone who's graced your path for they've significantly contributed to where you're at today...even, if you don't think they have.
Christ = Love. The meaning of Christ actually means Love. I learned that from my Reiki Master Teacher Merle Sunde-Marschall, a very evolved soul who taught me so much about life, wisdom, and Be-ing. She changed my life and I'm profoundly grateful that she graced my path and feel so blessed that she was my first spiritual teacher. Unconditional love allows you the ability to just be - to simply live in each moment as it unfolds. It requires no planning, no structure, no paradigm...it just IS. It's the ability to allow yourself the freedom to live and be as you are. When you feel completely secure and confident in yourself, feeling unconditionally loved you emit that same comfort, safety and love towards others. This is an invaluable gift. Be courageous this month and share the love that you have for others, your fellow human being, your animals and for your life. Simply Be and exude Love...it's easy. It's why you were born.

This past month I've been consistently reminded of how magnificent we humans are. During my morning run a couple of weeks ago I was personally reminded of how amazing the body is. As I was running on the trail I looked down at my legs and literally thought to myself, "Wow, my legs, knees, ankles, feet and muscles are all working together right now to propel me forward." It was such a beautiful feeling to appreciate what my body was doing for ME in that very moment. I had the desire to run right at that very moment and I was. My body didn't resist, my mind didn't resist and I was so grateful that I was doing exactly what I wanted it to do...run.
As I went about my day after feeling gracious and in the days following, I started looking at the people around me recognizing that they're all such magnificent spirits using their bodies as vehicles to move about the world. How awesome is that? We're all inhabiting physical forms so we can express ourselves exactly how WE want to with it. It's extraordinary. We use our voices to say whatever we want. we use our brains to think, we move our arms where we want, our legs, and we use our eyes to look at whatever we want - that's TRUE freedom. We don't realize how free we are until we start to examine what our bodies do for us. We can gain weight, or we can lose it. We can get up, we can move, we can strengthen it, or we can sit around and let it languish. We can express our thoughts, or not. We can share our I love you's or not. We have the power to do whatever we want with ourselves. Just think about that for a moment...Take the time today, tomorrow, this year to truly appreciate your vehicle for spiritual expression - your physical body. It's such an awesome concept to ponder and appreciate. I think you'll be just as awestruck as I was during my run a couple of weeks ago. And above all else as we give thanks this month, remember we were born to ENJOY life, not suffer it. Just about every spirit who comes through for a client delivers pretty much the same message: enjoy life. Enjoy Life. Suffering is an old paradigm that's outmoded and outdated. We've chosen to incarnate during these times to acknowledge, recognize, let go, and move forward. If you're not moving forward in your life, think about the ways that you can. It can be as simple as forgiving someone from your past; or forgiving yourself for something you did in the past. Life doesn't want you to harbor old resentments and hurts. Life wants to be LIVED and lived NOW. Like the adage says: Life is a Present, so live IN the Present. May you know that just by breathing you're already blessed. |
